Happy 2nd Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Back again this Sunday evening with another post.

My sister Polly asked me to make a card for her friend's soon to be 2 year old daughter, Zoe. She also needs it ASAP!
She wanted the card to be hot pink, light pink and chocolate brown. It also had to have a butterfly on it.

I decided to use Echo Parks "Be Mine" collection which is an older collection from 2011. I actually did not want to buy this but recently purchased another older 6x6 paper pad from Echo park called "Walk in the Park". To my surprise when it arrived, half the paper pad was "Walk in the Park" and the other half was "Be Mine". Oh well, decided to hang on to it anyway as the papers were very pretty.

Getting back to the card, I decided to use the "Be Mine" collection as the patterns used hot pink and light pink which were the colors requested.

Chocolate chevron patterned paper is from Echo Park's "Walk in the Park".

For the embellishment, I cut a scalloped circle and plain circle using Papertrey Ink's limitless layers circle dies. The butterfly die cut was made using my Cricut and the Wall Decor cartridge.

I used chocolate and light pink Bazzill cardstock for my die cuts. The music notes patterned paper is also from Echo Park's "Be Mine" collection.

I used Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz cardstock as my card base. Card base is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Here are pictures of the finished card:

I decided to cut out a double ended banner to stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment on. I then added "2nd" using Jillibean soup cardstock stickers.

Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's "Heart 2 Heart #3" stamp set.

I added some Kaisercraft fuchsia colored rhinestones to add some "bling" to the butterfly.

I decided to stamp the inside of the card as well. Sentiment and cake stamp are from Hero Arts "Yummy Treats" stamp set.

I tried to keep the card simple but hard to do especially for girlie cards :)

I wish Zoe the best birthday ever and hope she enjoys my card from her Tia/Madrina Polly!

Thank you again for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my card.

Have a great week everyone!

Ana
