Sympathy Card and Max

Hi everyone! Hope your week has been great and thank you for stopping by again!

Big news for our family is that we now have a new member of the Anstee family. He is the cutest thing and his name is Max.

My husband fell in love with this sweet boy one day while picking up our other doggies at their doggie daycare (Willowcreek Ranch)

For those of you that know our story on how we started with our first dog, well you know how long it took me to convince my husband to let me get a dog! Now 3 dogs later, I think we are complete :)

We don't have children and we love the idea of giving these rescue dogs a nice home.

Max was found without a collar close to the outskirts of Harris county and picked up by one the Willowcreek ladies.
I think it was love at first site between Terry and Max :)

He is about 5-6 months old now and still has his puppy teeth. In fact, he lost one tooth in our TV room on his first day. He has had a few accidents inside our home but is getting into a routine of letting us know when he has to go outside.

It took a while for Patrick and Peaches to get used to Max but things are going better now. Peaches and Max play really well together but she can rough on this little guy.  He is one tough cookie though and does not let himself get bossed around by our Peaches :)

Here is a picture of him all tuckered out after playing.

Well onto this week's project which is a sympathy card I made for the family of a dear, elderly patient of mine.

She passed away earlier this week and to show my sympathy, I made this card to send her family. I take care of the whole family, so it was hard to hear of her passing this week.

I decided to use Studio Calico's "Heyday" collection as I thought the pastel tones would work well on a sympathy card.

I also used one of my Hero Arts background stamps that I bought recently at Joann's. I have been wanting to use a background stamp to do some clear embossing on cardstock.

Here is my card for this week:

I used the scalloped border and flower cardstock stickers from the Authentique "Delightful" collection. The colors matched well with the Studio calico patterned papers.

I then used some foam squares to give the sentiment and the flowers that "pop out" effect.

Card base was made using Papertrey Ink's sweet blush cardstock and measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (standard A2 size).

Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper "Fabulous Phrases" clear stamp collection.

She liked to feed the birds outside her apartment so I added a small wood veneer bird from my Studio Calico August kit that I recently received.
This is my small tribute to her.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my weekly project.
I will be back next week with another P&P Creation. I realize that I will need to consider a name change for my blog but will need some time to think about it :)

Maybe PMP Creations?

I hope you all have a great week!
