12 x 12 Layout - My Sister Polly

Hi everyone!

Hope your week has been good so far. Mine is going well and busy as always! I did start on a 12 x 12 layout which I was inspired to do after checking the Saturday challenges at Two Peas in a Bucket this past weekend.

I have not done a 12 x 12 layout in a LONG time but after seeing Wilna's sketch challenge, I knew it was time to do one. The challenge is to use speech bubbles as embellishments on your layout.

My other inspirations were the new Echo Park collection "Everyday Eclectic" which I fell in love with the moment they previewed it.
Love the colors and the themes including woodgrain, chevron print, and cameras.

Of course my best inspiration was my sister Polly who I am very proud of and knew that the paper collection would work great on a layout about her.

Here is the layout sketch challenge:

Here is my layout:

If I win then I get another badge for my Two Peas profile and $5 gift certificate to use at the Two Peas store - with all the new paper lines coming out, it would really be nice to win!

My surprise for today was coming home after work and finding my Studio Calico Scrapbook Kit for the month of August at my doorstep! I just subscribed last month and was even able to get the July kit as well.
LOVE Studio Calico and kept admiring the kits, so I finally decided to go ahead and join :)
It came packaged so pretty in brown paper bags. There is even a little card with name of the person that put your kit together.

Here are the pictures of my kit today:

Here is a better picture of the August kit from Studio Calico website:

Love the doilies that come with the kit. I have been wanting to get some to use on cards and layouts but never actually bought any.

This month's kit also includes some papers from the new October Afternoon (OA)"Wonderland Park" collection which I have been desperately wanting to get!

My other surprise today was that the OA collection is now in stock at Two Peas, so yes, I made another purchase :)

My husband was not amused.

Well this is why I work full-time :)

Thank you all for stopping by mid-week and will have a new project this weekend as always.

Hope the rest of your week is great!

Ana
