Birthday Card and another Stampin' Up party

Hi Everyone! Having a great weekend so far? Mine has been GREAT!  I worked yesterday from 8am to noon and then met my friend Amie for lunch at a great little place called Nonnie's in Tomball. Shared a chicken salad sandwich and then followed it with peach cobbler a la mode - so yummy.
Afterwards we headed to our 2nd Stampin' Up party for some more card making fun with Elizabeth and Barbara.
This time we even had our own embroidered name tags which were made by Elizabeth. She is so talented and had 5 new projects for us to work on. I will post some pictures at the end of this blog post.

This morning I realized that my favorite Tia/Aunt in the world had a birthday this past week - Yikes! Of course, I am the worst when it comes to remembering birthdays. I sometimes even forget my own :)

My Tia Tina is like my second mother and I adore her! She always has had such love to give and has always been there for me no matter what.

I wanted to make her a pretty feminine card for her birthday and plan to mail it off asap!

I just received Bazzill's Miss Teagen Sue 6x6 paper pack from Simon says Stamp a few weeks ago which I have been wanting to use on a card. I really like the color combination in this collection including the grey, orange and fuschia colors.

I wanted to use some stamping as well but since the patterned paper is so pretty, decided to die cut instead using the papers.

Here is a picture of my finished card:

I was going to use Papertrey Ink's Heart 2 Heart #2 stamp set that includes balloons but instead decided to use the die and made my own balloons out of the paper. I adhered them with foam dots to make them stand out more.

The birthday sentiment is from a new Hero Art's stamp set called It's Your Day....

I know she is going to really enjoy this card as she is one of my biggest fans! Feliz Cumpleanos Tia!!

Here are some pics showing the Stampin' Up cards that I made yesterday:

We made several other projects but showing you 2 of my favorites from yesterday. Elizabeth is so talented and these cards are her own creation. It was fun learning how to use your stamps in different ways.

Afterwards, I placed my first Stampin' Up order which was a BIGGIE :)
Excited to use their products! I have been wanting to use their stamp pads which work really well. They stamp set well and dry fast.

Stampin' Up is only rubber stamps but now they have the option on about 90% of their stamp sets to get them unmounted. Just mount them on a clear block and stamp away.

Thanks for stopping by this week and I hope you enjoyed this week's card.

Will be back next Sunday with another P&P Creations project.
