I have been busy finishing up my Christmas decorating. I am almost done with my Christmas tree but awaiting some tin ornaments that I ordered recently for the finishing touch. My Christmas theme this year is "Feliz Navidad". I have been wanting to do this for a while. My decor this year is in fuchsia, green, turquoise blue colors with a touch of gold/silver in the mix.
Started to decorate my fireplace mantel today but not completely done. Will need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby for some finishing touches :)
My friend Stephanie and I took a deco mesh wreath class this week. Leslie was our teacher and she was great! She does these classes out of her home when friends ask her to hold one. She does not do this for a living but she makes really beautiful mesh wreaths.
My wreath turned out HUGE! Love it though and could not wait to hang that monster on my front door.
Here is a pic:
It was fun making it but also a lot of work! Hand pain the next day :)
It would be fun to make one for friends or family. Thinking about making one for my brother's house for Mardi Gras. I have seen some really cute ones on Pinterest for Mardi Gras.
Well I started on my December daily today. I have been prepping ahead of time to get everything together but only have Days #1 thru 4 ready to go. All I have to do is add my photos and journal. I decided to use my Fuji Instax camera and take a picture daily for my December daily.
I will have a better update next week as will have several days of journaling at that time. For now I thought I would just share my cover page. As you all may know from following my blog, I am making my December daily a part of my Project Life (PL) album. This is why I made a cover page.
I have several Christmas paper collections that I am using and will highlight a different one on each page. Each PL album page will cover 2 days.
Here are some pics of my cover page:
I used 4x6 and 3x4 elements from the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday paper collection. Most of the embellishments also came with the collection. Alphabet stickers are from October Afternoon.
Everyday I plan to take a photo of something about that day as well as journal. I also decided to write about a Christmas wish for every day as well as a prayer.
So for the month of december, I will be doing my December Daily updates as well other projects that I am doing.
I do have another sneak peak on some Christmas cards that I worked on earlier in the week.
I wanted to do more stamping on my cards this year which I accomplished with this set of cards. They turned out really cute.
Thank you for stopping by and looking.
I hope you all have a great week! Keep on crafting!
